About

Beyond the freelance copy editing I have done for those who have found me by referral of existing clients, I have worked with a Washington State company specializing in Christian self-publishing as copy editor, proofreader, and writer for fifteen years. I am employed by Seattle Pacific University as Program and Budget Manager for the College of Arts and Sciences. I have also worked for King’s Schools in Seattle, Washington.

I have a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Friends University, Wichita, Kansas. I have been awarded an editing credential from the Graham School of Continuing Liberal and Professional Studies. The Graham School is a division of the University of Chicago, home of the Chicago Manual of Style.

I am a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, the Northwest Independent Editors Guild, and the Christian PEN. I am also the Editors Connection Coordinator for the Northwest Christian Writers Association.

I have volunteered my editing services for the Western and Central Washington Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association and the Northwest Christian Writers Association.

My specialties include copy editing, proofreading, press materials, and book reviews.

My preferred genres are narrative nonfiction (biography and autobiography) Christian living, literary fiction, historical fiction, thriller, mystery, young adult, middle grade, and children.
