Five minutes ago I clicked send, and the last required assignment for my editing certificate was on its way. That’s five intensive courses and five trips to Chicago in two years. Though I have done freelance editing for over ten years, this certificate from the University of Chicago, Graham School lends hefty credibility to my experience. The University of Chicago publishes the Chicago Manual of Style, the authority on all things grammar, structure, referencing, etc. I was also fortunate to have several CMS editors as instructors. I appreciate that I have had the opportunity to earn this certificate and for the encouragement from my husband to do so. Thanks Den.
Now that I have reached this goal and have this wonderful website (thanks to Jane McCurley), I’m ready to direct more traffic here in hopes of increasing my contacts in the copy editors universe. My editing experience has focused on self-published fiction, inspirational, and biographical manuscripts. I’ve written press materials, book cover text, and book reviews, and I’ve also volunteered my services for the Alzheimer’s Association.
If we can collaborate on a project, please get in touch.
