Down to Business

Soon I will be launching the MWords website for the purpose of offering my skills as a copy editor, proofreader, and press writer to the masses. (Sounds noble, right?) I have fifty-five years of voracious reading under my belt, nine years of freelancing for the self-publishing crowd, and by the end of September, I will have earned an Editing Certificate from the University of Chicago, Graham School of Continuing Liberal and Professional Studies. (You know . . . University of Chicago . . . Chicago Manual of Style . . . the final word in grammar, usage, and structure for the English language?) My resources include Merriam Webster, Grammar Girl, the Subversive Copy Editor, BibleGateway.com, the Chicago Manual of Style, and the mistakes I’ve made in my own writing over the years. I am eager to help the beginning or experienced author polish their manuscript or write a press release that announces their book to the world. Let me help you tell your story!
